A recent federal law will require manufacturers to provide a safety statement in the future for owners of small UAS at the time of delivery. The FAA has developed a safety statement that is intended to serve as an example manufacturers may use to satisfy that requirement.
Law Enforcement Agencies are in the best position to deter, detect, and investigate unauthorized or unsafe UAS operations.
Reports of unmanned aircraft sightings from pilots, citizens and law enforcement have increased dramatically over the past two years.
